DirecTRAC®
DirecTRAC® is a unique distribution management system that provides customers with real-time, on-line connection to each delivery. The system developed in 1993 and in use on all DDA managed deliveries takes full advantage of the power of portable computing.

All Delivery Managers are equipped with a portable computer and a laser printer. In the case of larger deliveries, a number of notebook computers are networked to provide the throughput necessary to achieve maximum efficiency in the Delivery Office. The software and computer configuration provides a number of significant advantages over other, more traditional paper based delivery management systems.

Those advantages are:

  1. Payment of Delivery Carrier at check-in improves carrier retention.
  2. Control of Directory Inventory.
  3. Control of Alternate Product Inventory.
  4. Prevents the hiring of undesirable ("DO NOT REHIRE") carriers.
  5. Provides On-line availability of Distribution Information.
  6. Supports the use of IVR functionality to verify delivery.
  7. Supports Delivery Records - Disk Resident in the Delivery Office.

Future Enhancements will include:

  1. Support for Hourly Rated temporary personnel.
  2. Field Accounts Payable System.
